Sign Linguistics

3.1 What is not BSL?

		It is not international (so it's not made up of standardised international gestures, it's not Gestuno, nor International Sign) It is not based on English and it is not an invented language: so it is not Signed English, fingerspelling, Paget Gorman, Cued Speech, SEE (Signed Exact English), Sign Supported English (SSE) or Seeing Essential English. It is not a limited system such as Makaton, which has only a small range of signs.
